At the end of 2012, Glen fell into a $70k debt due to unknowingly investing in a gold investment scam. Being new to the world of investing, it didn’t occur to him that a company that appeared to have a genuine background would vanish overnight.
It was only 3 months of investing in them, and everything went downhill. He felt like a complete screw-up because he took out several bank loans in Singapore. It was a very dark moment in his life.
But his misfortune led him to start a personal finance blog to discuss the existence of investment scams. It was through setting up the website that he discovered and developed his interest in web design and direct response marketing.
He began to study advertising and marketing strategies in the 1970s and 1980s. He studied marketing geniuses such as Eugene Schwartz, David Ogilvy, Gary Halbert, John Carlton, Dan Kennedy, and others.
In 2016, he was given the privilege to join a top events and marketing company in Singapore that consistently attracts hundreds of attendees for events. After leaving the company, Glen continued to further develop his skills in direct response marketing and business growth hacking through real-world execution experience.
